Thomas Girardi: The NFL is aware of the very serious head injuries these players have, but I think sooner or later the NFL has to come to grips with the problem. This is a very devastating sort of a situation that, as people are now aware of this, they don’t like it and we think that the NFL probably is going to say to itself, “You know, we better do the right thing by these players. We better do a couple of things. We better see it to it that players don’t get hurt this way.” This helmet-to-helmet sort of contact, that shouldn’t be a penalty. That should be you’re out of the game.

Then, with respect to the fact if a player does get knocked out, that player cannot go back into that game. Everything says if you get hit twice it’s much, much more devastating, so that player should be on the bench for at least ten days.

So those are just some of the things that have to take place, along with compensating these young people that are really badly hurt. If, in fact, a NFL player has a concussion syndrome they – he should probably look into it to see if, in fact, this is concussion type problems and then that person should probably seek out a lawyer. There are several fine lawyers across the country that are involved in the litigation. There are good lawyers out there that you should really go see if you’re an NFL player with some symptoms that come from a concussion.
