KRISTI ROTHSCHILD: Discrimination in California has to be based on a protected class such as gender, race, national origin, or some other protected class under the Constitution or one of the other civil statutes. So if you've been discriminated against based on one of those protected classes, you may have a case for discrimination. That's what discrimination means in California.

If you are being treated differently because of one of those protected classes, you should probably speak with an attorney about discrimination.
