KRISTI ROTHSCHILD: There are psychological and there are physical aspects of representing employees. The psychological aspect of representing an employee is that you identify your job so personally. It's how you define yourself. When you introduce yourself every day to people, it's not in any other way than what you do for a living. So that is really deeply personal. And people take their jobs very personally.

And the physical aspect of your job is the other side of it. When you lose your job, it has such a toll on your physical well-being. So that plays very much into representing an employee in litigation. It's really hard on somebody physically. And people I don't think recognize that aspect of what we do.

There's a physical and mental aspect of representing somebody that you have to pay attention to in what we do as employment law attorneys.
