[GRAPHIC: Ask Super Lawyers, Who can be held responsible for a car accident in Pennsylvania?, Attorney Dallas W. Hartman responds, THOMSON REUTERS]

Dallas W. Hartman Most often in auto accidents we sue the responsible driver, however in many situations there’s not only the responsible driver there’s the bar that gave the irresponsible driver the alcohol that caused him to be involved in the accident.

Sometimes there’s a roadway defect, sometimes there are mechanical defects of a car, sometimes there’s safety defects of the person who’s been injured’s car. Automobile accidents you get money for pain and suffering, medical bills, lost wages, and loss of consortium claims and sometimes scaring and disfigurement if you’ve been scared or disfigured.

In most law suits it’s the negligent driver but you need to call a lawyer that understands looking at all those issues so you get full recovery against all the responsible parties.
